Redjac is a simple Commodore64 cross development tool for extracting or 'ripping' character sets (charsets) from VICE (v3.6+) snapshots, CCS64 (v3.9.2) Freeze files or C64 whole memory dumps. There is nothing this application can do that an experienced coder can't do manually, so this is aimed at the more casual coder.
Minimum System Requirements
Windows 7 (x64) or Linux (64-bit)
1GHz 64-bit (x64 or ARM64) CPU
1GB RAM
1920 x 1080 display recommended
Mouse
Redjac will launch on older, slower 64-bit systems with specifications lower than those listed above, but will run more slowly or with parts of the display truncated.
Redjac has been tested on a modern Linux system and should run on most 64-bit distributions without additional dependencies. It has also been tested on an ARM based Raspberry Pi running the 64-bit version of Raspberry Pi OS. Performance and display may vary on lower-powered hardware.
Installation & Configuration
Redjac is portable - it does not require installation or additional files. It will run standalone once extracted to your location of choice.
On some Linux-based systems, Redjac may need to be made executable on first run using the terminal.
